Your Trial Flying Lesson with MAK Aviation

Why not try your hand at flying a light aircraft and book a Trial Flying Lesson with MAK Aviation today? A trial flight at London Elstree Aerodrome in one of our Piper or Cessna aircraft is a thrilling introduction to the exciting world of aviation, available as a flexible gift voucher (valid for six months from date of purchase). A trial flying lesson also makes an exciting gift idea for an adventurous friend or relation.

Simply call us to purchase by credit or debit card and then, once you've received your voucher in the post, contact us again to arrange a date and time that suits you - but please be aware that we can't control the British weather and occasionally have to reschedule bookings at short notice in the interests of comfort and safety.

Your trial lesson begins with a short briefing from one of our highly experienced instructors. This will cover all you need to know about basic aerodynamics and the controls and instruments you'll encounter in the aeroplane. You will then go out to the aircraft and have the opportunity to assist with start up, taxying and take-off. You may also have 'hands on' control for most of the flight should you wish to. If you decide to continue your flying training and work towards a PPL or LAPL private pilot's licence, your time in the air during your trial lesson will count towards the total hours of flying required to complete the course - and will be the very first entry in your brand new pilot's logbook.
